Homework

One of my most inspiring teachers would have to be my tutor teacher Mr Lincoln. He is real cool and relaxed, well most of the time. He gives me advice and helps me out when i need it. A lot of the time in tutor i piss him off but he just deals with it and we still get along. He can take a joke in class which makes him a really good teacher to be around. Definitely one of the best.

Power walking

I don't think power walking (race walking) should be an Olympic sport as it may take stamina but not much skill. The race is 20km long so does take a lot effort to complete but its not much different then walking normally. It is not really a common sport among countries and is not a great sport to watch.

Monday 30 July 2012

The Modern day Olympics have produced many great moments over the years so it's hard to pick "the greatest" moment. So I chose a moment in the 2000 Sydney Olympics where a country split in two walked together in the opening ceremony. North and South Korea still have not mended there relationship but for that Olympics they managed to put their differences aside and present a joint team to the world. This may not be the greatest moment in history but its shows how the Olympics bring every country together for a sporting event where peace is kept and friendships made.

Group story Part 3

 Part 1: http://georgiaenglishhomework.blogspot.co.nz/

 Part 2: http://112506382.blogspot.co.nz/

Now Part 3 of the crash

Now with more details of the crash detective Jones needed to do some research on how a tractor could reverse on its own. Jones was back at the scene just looking around seeing if he could see anything of importance that might of been missed but as he was looking around he was interupted by an elderly man named Donald Griever who claimed he saw the whole crash. Detective Jones already knew what had happened from another witness but another point of view could help. So the man started talking about what he saw. He talked about the French man driving the tractor delivering fruit and the fench man helping unload the fruit, then the old man said the tractor just started rolling back with no one on it. He said It hit a man walking past then took out the 7 people that where in line to buy fruit. Finally it hit a building and a guy fell out of it. Donald told detective Jones basiclly the same story of the crash as he first witness except for one thing the first person to get taken out first was a guy walking past not the french man.

Jones was shocked as it once again seemed thats the french man was to blame for the incident. Detective Jones needed to make sure the second witness was correct about it not killing the French man. The mans name who got hit first was Alex Sanders an American on vacation, not a French fruit delivery man. So Donald was correct, but where was the French man?

First term for year 10 as been rather average not amazing but not bad. I like all the classes I’m in and so far enjoying them, except a few. I’m happy with my work in maths already getting a few credits some of which were excellence. Also with my science I have gotten some credits and should be getting more as some of my work is yet to be marked. Some negatives for the term... I don’t have many to be honest; one that stands out for me is the 10IMN blog homework. I find most of it pointless and not necessary or relevant to me. Also it being online makes it a hassle for me.  I don’t spend much time on the computer so I always forget to look on the blog for homework. Also the comments you give I don’t see them as they go to my email which I never check... Some interesting thinks this term. I can’t really think of many it was a very ordinary term. Probably the only thing interesting is that not much has really changed for me from year 9 to year 10

Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau, Austria, a small town across the Inn River from Germany.

Hitler was a German-speaking Austrian and considered himself German. He ridiculed the Austrian government for recognizing eight languages as official and believed that no government could last if it treated ethnic groups equally.

In 1920, Hitler joined the National Socialist German Workers Party known as the Nazis. Hitler became leader of the Nazi party and built up membership quickly, mostly because of his powerful speaking ability. Hitler organized an army for the Nazi party called the Storm Troopers ("Brown Shirts") who were called upon to fight groups seeking to disband the Nazi rallies.

In July, 1932, the Nazis received about 40% of the vote and became the strongest party in Germany. On January 30, 1933, President Paul von Hindenburg appointed Hitler Chancellor of Germany. Once in this position, Hitler moved quickly toward attaining a dictatorship. When von Hindenburg died in 1934, Hitler already had control of Germany and he gave himself the title "Fuehrer" (leader).

Under Hitler's government, called the Third Reich, there was no place for freedom. The government controlled every part of one's life. Hitler used extensive propaganda to brainwash the nation into believing his theory about creating the perfect Aryan or nordic race. Therefore, it was Hitler's plan to rid the nation and eventually the world of Jews, Gypsies, Negroes, handicapped, and mentally ill persons. This plan was called the "Final Solution."

World War II began in 1939 when Hitler invaded Poland to begin his unification of all German-speaking peoples. By this time extermination camps were being established throughout Germany, Poland, and Russia. Before Hitler was stopped in 1945 by the Allied countries, he had caused the extermination over 12 million people. Hitler committed suicide in his bunker on April 30, 1945 and seven days later, Germany surrendered.

"Playing for Pizza" by John Grisham is a short novel which talks about the culinary, cultural and architectural specialties of Italy through the fall and rise of a low ranked NFL quarterback. Rick Dockery (the quarter back) cannot get any NFL team to touch him after blowing a 17 point lead in a championship game. His manager finds him a starting position in Italy with the Parma Panthers.

Along his journey Mr. Dockery discovers the passion he lost to football. Even though it’s a sports book it also has a lot about Italian food as the fast food fed Quarterback discovers the culinary delights of Italy. The book also tells the reader a lot about Italy itself, the book simply makes you want to hop on a plane and go.

I found this book pretty good as I read very little. The pace is good, the story flows and the characters are likable. This book is not a deep, serious, book but it is enjoyable and a wonderful read.

Creative Writting
Best friends, school, late at night, something embarrassing happens.

It was a cold, stormy night at the Rose Brook high school as a young man was walking the grounds. My names Alex Parker and this is my story. There was no real reason for me to be at school but I was bored and needed a bit of fun.

The school was deserted, empty, full of nothingness and very creepy. Luckily for me the gate was left open making my job a lot easier not having to climb the fence. As I walked through the school I kept hearing noises as if someone was following me but I kept on walking. When I got to the centre of the school I met up with one of my best mates Jacob. We met that night on the sole purpose to tag the school grounds with our sign aTc. We geared up with our spray cans and set of around the school.

We split up and started tagging. As I headed towards the wall I was going to tag I heard another strange sound this time like someone was talking to me. A looked around for someone, thinking someone had saw me but there was no one; I carried on. I was getting more and more nervous as the night rolled on I started hearing more and more spooky noises so I decided to go find Jacob and get out of the school and head home. I scrambled through the schooling looking for Jacob but he was nowhere to be found. I started hearing even more noises, getting louder and louder. I started running yelling “Jacob where are you!” over and over again, there was no response. I kept rushing through the school but there was no sign of him. The sounds were getting even louder I thought I heard something behind me so I looked behind me. Nek minit

I looked up and there was Jacob laughing his face off, I had ran into a wall. Jacob had been following me the whole time making all the noises. I hated him for next few months, but our friendship prevailed and we stayed friends.

Holidays

The end of school, the time I wait for all year. No classes, no homework, no teachers and most of all no getting up early! The few weeks leading up to Christmas my days were solely filled with sleeping, eating, Xbox and more sleeping. It was Christmas not a big day of my year but a good one. The day was filled with presents, family and food. For Christmas I got a monitor for my Xbox and a new game.

A few days after Christmas my family and I went on holiday to a place called Oakura up north. We hired out a small bach just in front of the beach.  We spent 10 days there swimming and relaxing and just hanging out with family. After the long ride back home my holidays were pretty boring, all I did was once again sleep, play Xbox and hang out with some mates.

That’s was my great holidays (sarcasm)
